Biographical Information

I’m an associate Professor of English and Translation, with particular interests in English literary translation, William Empson studies, English literary criticism and cultural studies.

Research Interests

Twentieth-century literature, the history and theory of literary criticism, drama translation of English and Chinese, intellectual history.

Areas of Graduate Supervision

I teach for MTI students in Literary Translation and Translation Theory & Translation Technique and would be glad to hear from potential graduate students wishing to work on translation studies, especially literary translation.
